Hi, my name is Kim Fry, and I have been a parent at the school for a number of years. My eldest is now at High School, whilst my youngest is in year 4.
I have been on the Friends of Heatherlands committee for 9 years, and seen the wonderful things that we can help the school provide for the children. We have many different things throughout the year that the students really enjoy.
At Hallowe'en we have a fancy dress competition where the children can come into school as anything they want. If they don't want to dress up, they can come in their own clothes. The imagination is amazing!!! Friends of Heatherlands provide the prizes for this and any money raised goes straight back to the children in many different ways.
In the summer we have a fun day where we have so many different things for the children, all at pocket money prices. Bouncy castle, face painting, cook your own pizza and much more.
These are just a couple of things that we get up to.
We have a meeting approximately once a term, to arrange the fun stuff.
If you have any fantastic ideas, please come along and meet us at the next meeting. All new ideas are gratefully received!!
If you would like to put your name down to help out with anything, please leave your contact details with the lovely ladies in the office. Even if you can spare half an hour, it is extremely appreciated.
