Heatherlands Assessment Policy 2019 - 20

Core Subjects

The core subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Science and RE) will be reported on once in the academic year in a report sent out in the Spring term. This report will be a summary of your child's progress so far and will give you targets for the Summer term to aid your child's further progress within the academic year. We will also provide you with your child's current teacher assessment and any test scores.

There will as always be an opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher to discuss the report and opportunities to meet with the teacher at parents evenings planned throughout the year.

Foundation Subjects

Children will be assessed in the foundation subjects throughout the academic year using our online assessment and data tracker. Reports will be sent home to the parents at the end of the Summer term coinciding with attendance, new classes, phonics screening and SATS results for relevant year groups.
