I am pleased to be able to offer your child the opportunity to take part in a residential school trip to Osmington Bay PGL centre in Weymouth from Friday 9th October to Sunday 11th October 2026. The residential takes place at the beginning of Year 6 as it is a fantastic opportunity for the children to bond with their new teachers and to prepare for the challenges of the year ahead.

The trip will be led by Miss Hillier and organised through PGL Travel Ltd.

What’s it all about?

It’s about having fun while taking part in all sorts of adventurous activities designed to help your child learn and develop new skills and really shine as an individual and as part of a team.

For many children this may be their first experience of staying away from home without you. PGL staff and I will be on hand throughout to encourage, reassure and help, so that your child returns home even more confident and independent with a real sense of achievement. What does it cost?

The cost per child is £205 which can be paid in 2 instalments prior to the trip.

The cost includes:

· Return coach travel from school

· A full daily programme of adventure activities

· Fun evening entertainment

· All meals and accommodation

· Full comprehensive travel insurance (details available on request)

What do I need to do next?

We will be holding a PGL parent meeting to give you more information about the plan for the residential and this will also be a chance for you to ask any questions. This will take place at on Monday 1st December at 2.30pm in the STUDIO 2025. The powerpoint will also be shared after this meeting if you are unable to attend or want to go through it with your child.

If you would like your child to go on the trip, please complete the google form (link), together with an initial deposit* of £50 by 8th December 2025. This deposit is a confirmation of your place.

*Please note that once deposits have been paid to PGL they are not refundable and terms and conditions will apply.

Further payments will be required on the in March 2026 of £77.50 and May 2026 of £77.50 or you can pay in full. All payments for this residential MUST be paid by 8th June 2026.
