Eco Council

Years 1-6 had two fantastic assemblies by Barney from Plastic Free Bournemouth about plastic usage. He spoke to us about the effects of littering, what happens to our rubbish and how we can reduce our plastic usage. We got to see what happens when our rubbish ends up in the ocean and how it can affect the creatures living there. Children showed the Heatherlands Way at all times and were very engaged. Thank you, Barney, for such an eye-opening assembly. Also a big thank you and well done to Evie & Morgan in Year 5 who created an amazing 3D ocean piece, which she showed during the assemblies.
