The Den were delighted to be offered the opportunity to attend a school trip generously funded by the charity Wessex Wishes. Children from both The Den and Octave provision enjoyed a fantastic day at Longdown Activity Farm.

The day began with feeding the calves, followed by goat feeding, mini tractor rides, chick handling, guinea pig stroking, and a fun, bumpy tractor ride around the farm. We were also lucky enough to see day old piglets and meet a remarkable 25 year old tortoise!

Throughout the day, the children were exceptionally well behaved, showing kindness, patience, and gentle care when interacting with the animals. After a picnic style lunch, everyone enjoyed some time playing in the park before heading back to school.

It was a wonderful day filled with new experiences, smiles, and memorable moments. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Wessex Wishes for making this special trip possible.
