Single use plastics in school. We have now made a mini task force to wash up and recycle yoghurt pots and plastic lids during our lunchtimes. Over 100 plastic post and lids a week are being washed up and recycled by Amelie, Lacey, Sofia and Suri.
Recycling Week
Heatherlands Eco Council We marked the start of Eco Council 22-23 with a very enthusiastic litter pick and a then we surveyed the children in the playground on their recycling knowledge. Most children knew that paper; cardboard and plastic bottles could be recycled but were not sure on paper towels or glue sticks. So we have decided to make clear signs for the classroom to make sure everyone gets it right.
