On Friday 27th May, we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Poole and members of our community to help open our Valley area which will be a special place of interest for all our children and the quiet reflection corner which is dedicated to two former pupils who were sadly killed in a car crash in June 2001. I was therefore, really pleased to welcome the former head teacher of Heatherlands First School at the time, Veronica Lawson, who was in charge of the school when the tragedy struck and was responsible for guiding the school through what I can only imagine was a very sad period.
